Utilizing Frame Trap
Have you asked yourself these questions:
"Sian siah.He tech all my slams and block my frame trap. How ar?"
"How come this guy do frame trap ppl normally kena one?"
Today's topic will cover all these questions.Hopefully this will help you.:D
Just as I said in the previous post:
There are 3 ways of how an opponent tech their slam
1.Early Crouch Tech
2.Standing Tech
3.Late Crouch
Here is a more technical detail of how a slam works.
Slam
Startup time(The startup time of the slam)-3 frames
Active frames(The animation of the slam)-7 frames
When They Tech:
Early Crouch Tech and Standing Tech:4th to 7th frame
Late Crouch Tech:7th frame to 10th frame
So technically, you can also say that,if I am a ryu(since most ppl know ryu frame data lol),
To punish early crouch tech and standing tech:
You can do:
cr.lp,delayed cr.lp....
cr.lp,delayed cr.mk...
To punish late crouch tech:
You can do:
cr.lp,far.hp....(Ryu far hp has a startup time of 8 frames)
Testing The Waters
So u know how to punish these different techs, but now,how do you know he doing which kind of tech?
You do early crouch tech and standing tech frame trap,if he block it,there are 2 reasons,
1.He not teching slam
2.He doing late crouch tech
If you do late crouch tech frame trap,if he block it,there are 2 reasons,
1.He not teching slam
2.He doing early crouch tech and standing tech
Tat's all now.Your comments pls.:D

Frame Traps For Dummies Part 1
Wah.This one is going to be one hell of an explanation. But I will try my best to explain it.lol.
I going to divide into different parts for this frame trap explanation:
Part 1-Brief introduction of frame traps
Part 2-Utilizing it effectively
Part 3-?????
Part 3 would be a nice surprise or even no surprise for you lol.
What is a frame trap?
a frame trap is when you hit someone with a move with frame advantage so they're basically locked in blockstun while you can perform another slower move that will provide just enough gap so they can start a move, but then get hit by that slower move you just did.
quoted from kumakendo,shoryuken.com
Tat is the best explanation I could find and if you want me to put it in my own words,
It is an offensive counter to an opponent move such as tech slam or pokes.
Why do I want to do frame trap?
In high level games, players are able to tech slam consistently through 3 types of tech:
Early Crouch tech
Late Crouch tech
Standing tech
Frame traps are the key to breaking the opponent's defense.Because your opponent think that,"Oh he is going to slam me!!!"And then frame traps come in and he pays for teching it.
Tat's all for now.And one more thing:Put real name la.*Hit the guy whose name starts with the L

Bison vs Ken Part 2
As a bison player, you need to know where is your best range and your opponent's best range.
There are two best ranges for bison:
One is st.mk distance
The other is st.hk distance whenever ken fwd.mk is done, bison do st.hk and beats fwd.mk.Not only that, this is where you could anti air pretty much what ken does.
The key here is to have a life lead and 'lame it out'.Devil reverse always have a way of attracting people to attack you except one character.Clue:Start with S and is an ass.
Tat's all for the Ken's matchup.
I also finding players who are interested in posting their views about matchups and tricks they know in a blog.Just tell me on the tagboard or facebook or msn and you will be an author lol.

Bison vs ChineseBoy and Bao Jiak Part 1
I was scratching my head, thinking hard of which matchup would I talk about. So I decided to talk about the matchup that I played most often which is none other than:
KEN

Ken has a surprising scary okizeme:
Setup for ambigious jump lk
Setup for crossup jump hp
Setup for crossup tatsu
The first one is freaking ambigious.Ken's jump lk can land in front or behind you depending on the distance.(Even Ken players told me that they do not know where it would land.Lol.)
The second one is also as scary as the one above and land more damage. The third one is self explanatory.
Ken also have a "ryu-like" option select:
Option select shoryuken wins ex psycho(Medium one beat and light one trades.(Clarification from joseph himself.)
Option select hk/ex tatsu/ultra 2 wins teleport
Ken....cannot option select....ex devil reverse...even with ex shoryuken...Just abuse only la.Joseph did a yomi neutral jump hp to hit my ex devil reverse which resulted in a equally yomi ex headstomp.:D

Ex Psycho Goodies
Normally, people would use ex psycho as defensive or offensive tools.
Defensive:
Using Ex Psycho to escape
Offensive:
Using Ex Psycho in fullscreen(Where you get frame advantage)
These are more common ways that bison player normally use.Now I introduce something:
Offensive:
Using Ex Psycho in the corner(This means that if you manage to ex psycho through the opponent, you would end up in the corner.)
Why do you want to do this?Because people always try to block front when blocking the ex psycho where NOW YOU COULD END UP BEHIND THEM.
The setup for this ex psycho corner shennigans:
After slam,cr.mp(Use to time the thing),ex psycho
After knockdown(opponent choose to wakeup tech,do cr.lp(Same thing as cr.mp),ex psycho
Tat's all liao.Going to rush to AFA later.:(

Bison Jump Hp Crossup
It is time to write my own character liao."All hail Bison!!!".Lol.
There are actually three ways to do a crossup hp.
1.After a back throw
2.After a forward/back throw in the corner
3.Around bison cr.mk distance
The first one is really delicious. After a back throw, the distance away from you and your opponent is a bit more than bison cr.mk distance.
If you still do not understand, here is a hint. After bison backwards throw, the opponent WAKES UP WITH HIS BACK FACING YOU.AFTER THAT,HE WILL TURN AROUND AND FACE YOU.So the hint is,to hit him at the time before he turn around and face you.
The second one is pretty straightforward. After a forward/back throw in the corner,do a cr.mk to time the crossup and do jump hp immediately.
The third one is too situational. You get a crossup on him using this one because his character is not moving or when you jump, the distance was luckily just right.:X
Tat's all from the still weak Bison player.:(
I would also love suggestions and questions too.:D

Akuma Ex Demon Flip Goodies
I realised the best way to destress was to do the akuma hk loop especially on SAGAT.The combo makes you feel that you have been a best friend to the sf4 world who is not using sagat.
After some time,I decided to test out the ex demon flip setup after akuma sweep.(I testing out on sagat.)
The setup is like this:Sweep,Dash forward once,ex demon flip
1.If you press lk + lp,akuma will do a command throw.
2.If you press lk,akuma will hit in front.
3.If you press mk,akuma will crossup.
From my observation,it hits deep enough to kill off uppercut.Another question would be,does this apply to all other characters?
